Decades ago, Dan Doodles were one of the country-cured meats delivered to folks throughout rural Southside Virginia. A Dan Doodle (or Tom Thumb) is a unique, hickory-smoked sausage with natural casing we still sell today, mostly in rural areas. A few years back, we introduced my father-in-law, Dan (a city guy) to Dan Doodles...and he loved them so much, he now gives them to special friends as gifts for the Holidays and special occassions.

So whether you were country- or city- reared, there's a good chance you'll love this classic Southern sausage, too. Just cut into slices and fry like sausage patties...or cook as seasoning meat for collard greens or green beans. Total weight 3-5 lbs.
