If you and your family enjoy a naturally lean and sweet ham (without traditional country-style country curing), our bone-in Tender Smoked Ham is the choice for you. It's hickory-smoked in our smokehouse for 18 hours to produce its mild, sweet flavor.

Unlike supermarket hams, no water is ever added for additional weight or artificial juiciness. This is a large smoked ham, big enough to serve 35-40 guests. Or, you can serve fewer, and your family can enjoy many delicious ham dinners and sandwiches. If you're a "city ham" fan, you'll write home about this smoked ham. 18-19 lb. tender-smoked, bone-in ham, cook and serve.

good but not great

18 hours is a short time to smoke such a large ham. It was tender and meaty but I was disappointed in the lack of smoke flavor. Taste more like a roasted fresh ham than a smoked ham.

Fabulous

By Miguel from Seattle, WA December 26, 2009 December 26, 2009

Served this for Christmas dinner. It was everything Gourmet Magazine said it would be and more. Fork tender. Deep, deep flavor. And neither too salty or too sweet. Perfect balance. Everyone agreed it was the best ham they'd ever tasted.

Thank you, Edwards Family. We'll be getting this ham on a regular basis.

Shipping & Delivery Information
Shipping charges are additional to merchandise prices. We ship via UPS, which requires a street address for delivery. For this reason, we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes. Also, we do not accept C.O.D. orders. All perishable items are shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays only, and should be refrigerated or frozen immediately upon receipt. All products shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico must ship by Second Day Air.

How are shipping charges determined?
We calculate actual UPS shipping charges based on the shipping method, the weight of the product, and the zip code the product is shipping to. If you purchase several products to ship to the same address, the total shipping charge will likely be different than the estimated charges for each individual item, because the items can be combined into a single shipping container.

What shipping methods are available?
Standard Ground shipping is the least expensive, but it is only available for perishable products that ship with 1-2 day transit times. See UPS transit days map below. Otherwise, Second Day Air is required for all perishable items. These items are identified in our catalog and on the website with a blue plane

Expedited Shipping
Next Day Air and Second Day Air are options for any product if you need a guaranteed delivery date. You will be able to choose your preferred delivery date during the Checkout Process and see the estimated shipping charges for each Shipping Method.

Storage: Ham is shipped frozen. Refrigerate or freeze upon receipt. If ham is thawed and still cool, it is okay to refreeze.

Thawing: Thaw pork in original package in the refrigerator, on a platter to catch juices. Set on the lowest shelf away from other foods, to prevent cross contamination of bacteria. Allow 3 to 5 hours per pound thawing time.

Preparation: Ham must be thawed before cooking.

Baking: Wrap in heavy foil. Cook in oven at 325 degrees F to internal temperature of 160 degrees F, or 18-20 minutes per pound. If desired, remove foil and layer of rind, and cover with thin coat of brown sugar, and return to oven long enough to melt the sugar.

Broiling: Slice to desired thickness, brush with butter, and broil each side 10 minutes until nicely browned.

Shelf Life: 3 weeks refrigerated, 4 months frozen, Freeze any portion you do not expect to consume within 2 weeks.
